Lion’s Mane Mushroom is not strictly speaking, an adaptogen, rather it is a cerbrogen and ergogen with pro- adaptogenic qualities. It was used in the traditional Chinese pharmacopia to strengthen the stomach and viscera and also for inflammatory conditions of the gastro-intestinal tract.
